About

Key 2 Your Path Inc

Hello Blessed One! My name is Kimura (pronounced Key-moo-ra), a Southern California native and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My mission is to walk alongside you on your therapeutic journey—supporting your growth toward a deeper spiritual connection, self-actualization, acceptance, and empowerment. My approach I strive to help clients expose, unearth, and empower the parts of themselves that may have been silenced. The modalities I draw from include the engrafted Word, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My role is to remind you of the power you already carry—and to walk beside you as you reclaim it. My focus My therapeutic practice focuses on supporting individuals navigating life transitions, spiritual displacement, marital conflict, low self-esteem, challenges with self-worth, and mild to moderate depression and anxiety. I believe that if you can see yourself healed, the work has already begun. My communication style I do my best to create a positive, present, and transparent environment. I rely on both verbal and non-verbal communication to adjust the atmosphere of our sessions, hold space for cognitive processing, and encourage reflection, emotional safety, and authentic expression. My journey to mental healthcare My first love is education. I was a preschool special education teacher before becoming a social worker. I noticed the emphasis was often on numbers rather than the internal forces affecting well-being. This led me to focus on one client at a time, empowering you to understand you have choices and can obtain peace and acceptance. My goals for you I take a collaborative and intentional approach to goal setting. I believe in the principle that “faith without works is dead,” meaning progress requires both commitment and action. If an intervention isn’t producing the desired results, we will openly discuss it and make adjustments as needed in support of our therapeutic alliance and your growth. My first session with you Our first session will focus on getting to know you, exploring any recent changes in your life, and understanding how these changes make you feel. This allows me to gain a glimpse of your story, better understand the reasons you’ve reached out for support, and begin building our client-therapist partnership.
